Alzheimer’s
There is growing evidence that lifestyle (mind and body) have a major role to play in the prevention of Alzheimer’s (dementia) and possibly Parkinson’s among senior citizens. This is a breakthrough as there remains no effective medication for Alzheimer’s. The key is prevention.
Societies in the world which eat diets low in animal products and processed foods have very low rates of dementia. In addition, the elderly in these societies continue to lead active, meaning full and happy lives to a ripe old age. Shouldn’t we adopt the same practices?
