Obesity rates are skyrocketing in the developed world, affecting people from all age groups and walks of life. Singapore is no exception. The good news is a WFPB diet (with minimal or no meat and processed food) can prevent and reduce obesity. This is done without even a need to calorie count.

Your risk of obesity, decreases when you swap from a meat-heavy diet to a plant-based one. This is because of the higher fibre, nutrient and water content, which makes plant food nutrient dense but calorie light. Losing weight is not just about looking good but will significantly reduce the risk of diseases, such as; cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and hypertension. Multiple scientific studies among various population groups in many countries have shown that a WFPB diet is significantly more effective at healthy weight loss and  maintaining optimal weight than any other type of diet.
