WHAT IS A PLANT-BASED DIET ?
A diet where food is derived wholly from plants with minimal processing
In some instances, one can choose to be mildly flexitarian and maybe limit animal sourced food to occasional or minimal (maybe about 10% of food). Be gentle and kind to yourself in transition.
A plant based diet will avoid;
All meat / meat products
Dairy and dairy products (cheese, butter, yoghurt etc)
Eggs and its by products
Seafood (fish, Shellfish, crustaceans etc)
A vegan diet is plant-based but may not necessarily be healthy if it contains much processed food.
